We arrived in Skyline yesterday afternoon after a detour through tulip country – stunning! The local Rotary has a nice little tulip stand in the parking lot of Shawn O’Donnells at the Farmhouse on St. Route 20, so we popped in for a couple of bundles.

We now have a storage box on our upper deck. It’s a 130-gallon Lifetime Marine Dock Box and it’s huge! Looks like a sarcophagus.

This may not be it’s final resting place; we’re experimenting with locations for now. So far it contains two chairs, two tables, and our new generator…with some room to spare.

About the generator. We haven’t felt a huge need for one, and in fact are pleased that our boat didn’t come with one. However, once and awhile we need to closely monitor our energy usage. As we are heading to the Broughtons in June, we decided a portable unit would be a good back up.

After some chores this morning ToG will motor south to Deception Pass, destined for Cornet Bay and Coupeville. We’re hoping for sunshine and warm temps. Is that too much to ask?
