I think I can speak for all four of us when I say we finally feel like we’re on our way to getting somewhere. That somewhere being the Broughtons.

We woke to relatively clear weather with little wind. After some getting-ready chores both boats got underway and headed out of Vancouver at about 9am.

Next stop Pender Harbour, about 50 nautical miles further up the Strait of Georgia.

We have a few new-ish/improved items in our inventory.

I first saw one of these digital projection clocks when we stayed with Nick’s cousin last year in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Then Shannon showed me hers that she has aboard Ramble On. I ordered one and we think it’s pretty nice to see the time at night without much fuss. 12 volt and dimmable.

Our friend Steve Z. aboard Coorie Doon showed me this fan. 12 volt rechargeable and easily moved around to use in either berth or at the helm. It oscillates, extends to several feet, and folds up nicely for stowage.

Last week I spent a couple of days painstakingly trimming and gluing non-skid material to the underside of our bathroom rug. Works great!
