We had a nice dinner with friends aboard Aris and Ghost at the Blind Channel Resort restaurant. (I regret not getting a photo of the six of us!)

Better weather this visit:

The new friends we met, Mark and Susie, sent us this photo of Mark with a nice lingcod!

On Friday we made our way from Blind Channel into Toba Inlet and the Toba Wilderness Marina. We were here a couple of years ago. Since then, it is under new management. The moorage is high, at $3.25 U.S. dollars per foot but power is included, as well as trash disposal, ice, and showers. And good internet. Very well-kept grounds, with a swanky covered area.

Scenes from around the marina:

We took ToG out to drop a prawn trap off the nearby Double Island shore.

On Friday evening we were pleased to be able to watch the local black bear feeding on the shore right off the dock. Deb took some awesome photos, which I will include in my next post.

Saturday, we pulled and dropped the trap a few more times throughout the day. It was fun, but rather disappointing, as we got just 13 keepers.

We did haul some interesting looking Hairy crabs:

Prawning operations:

Crab Louie salads for lunch:

Saturday afternoon a local couple got married – fun to watch:

The wedding party arrives:

Lots going on:

Nick caught a small halibut off the dock:
