First, a photo from Deb of the guys with their Dungies, from our last trip:

We went to Walla Walla for wine tasting and live music at our wine club winery, Tranche. Why did we decide to visit W2 in 100+ degree heat? Well…because it’s a dry heat, right?

Yuk. We stayed just one night and headed back home. Because of that we took off for Skyline a day early, arriving at the boat Tuesday. We spent the afternoon cleaning and organizing, then drove to Cap Sante Marina to catch up with friends aboard Coorie Doon, who are sheparding part of a group going north to Desolation Sound as part of a factory cruise.

After a brief happy hour, we stopped at Secret Cove (our new favorite in Anacortes) for dinner. Great view, and busy maritime activities:

I call this the Beth & Drake trip because Nick’s cousin and his wife will be joining. (We were on their boat Moor Life, in Florida, last year.)

For now, we are anchored in Garrison Bay (San Juan Island). We arrived yesterday to find the bay already fairly busy – crabbing and salmon fishing open today. Nick just dropped two pots.

Over the next couple of days we’ll take part in our first yacht club gathering, then we’ll motor to Fisherman Bay (Lopez Island) to rendezvous with the cousins.

Weather is lovely! (Although the wind blew all night!)
