It has to be pretty hot to get me into the water:

Watch out Nick, that goose is coming for you!

Another kayak trip and then a walk through Brentwood Bay:

Brentwood Bay is mostly residential, and very charming. There is one small general store that is unappealing, and not much else. A couple of restaurants are good, and there are nice trails and lanes through town for good walks.
On Saturday night we stayed up a little past our regular bedtime to watch the Butchart Gardens fireworks over the tree tops:

The fireworks were okay but we think maybe it will be best to avoid Tod Inlet on weekends in the future. It gets very busy with day trippers on the beach and boats there for the show.
We had a great time in Tod Inlet, although our stay was cut short by a day because of a full waste tank. Not fun. We had a rude awakening yesterday morning, when the head began to back up.
This happened for a couple of reasons. The guage often doesn’t work correctly; we’ve determined it needs routine cleaning, and even that is not always effective. Also, Nick used the stationary pump-out at the Port Sidney Marina. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if pumps are actually working. In this case, it didn’t.
So, we avoided total “crapaggedon” by pulling the anchor, saying goodbye to Deb, Mike, amd Willow, and dealing with that problem appropriately.
We pulled into Prevost Harbor on Stuart Island after clearing customs. We grabbed a mooring ball and enjoyed a guiet afternoon with nachos on the grill:

Nick dropped a crab trap and was rewarded with three Dungeness!
