We hiked up Young Hill Sunday morning with Tracey & Steve, then lunched at the Madrona Bar & Grill in Roche Harbor.

On Young Hill:

After hanging out on the boat for a while, the four of us dinghied over to Aris to have a drink with Deb & Mike, as well as new AT owners Tom & Joan. And, importantly…Willow.

Fun atop ToG:

Boats in Garrison Bay:

After a very nice paddle on Monday morning, we got word from Tracey that they had birthday dinner reservations with Kit, who arrived home Sunday night. So, we hauled anchor and took the boat back to Friday Harbor.

We had a very nice dinner at Downriggers and caught up with Kit, who had just taken a trip around the Olympic Peninsula and over to Victoria.

Steve, Tracey, Kit:

We left the dock by 7:30 or so this morning, to cross Rosario Strait during slack. The water was pretty calm, but we did hit a fog bank when we got to Thatcher Pass.

Not the view I like to see!

Fog!

But a nice shot of the Yakima on its way to Anacortes:

We’ll spend July 4 at the McQuarrie cabin and then back at our condo for Commencement Bay fireworks. Next week we plan to head north into Canada.
