A good 17-day cruise! Weather was mostly perfect, we didn’t get into any crazy water, currents were pushing us in the right direction…all in all, a very nice trip to the South Sound and Victoria

This is a photo of a strange boat with a helicopter and an enormous flag, called the Buttle Shuttle. I guess an old Mill Bay ferry. Interesting.

A couple more photos of Pacific Grace:

Fun to see our local Commencement Bay seaplane:

Sunset over Victoria Harbour:

We think we may skip Victoria as a destination in the future, over their Labour Day long weekend. It’s busy enough there at other times. Mainly, because we’d probably prefer the Causeway docks over Wharf Street…just too much noise and fumes from seaplanes.

We’re taking the RV out to the McQuarrie cabin this weekend with friends Tracey & Steve. We’re home for a while and excited to celebrate our oldest grandson’s 6th birthday on the 12th (which we’re usually not around for). And then we take off on the 18th for a camping trip to Crater Lake, beginning with the Band of Horses concert at Marymoor Park.

Not sure when we’ll be on the boat again but we need to catch some CRABS!
