2026 has started out with a bang. We drove the “Motterhome” south in January to spend a few weeks in sunny SoCal. Great locations in Palm Dessert and Coronado, among others. Bad weather chased us home a week early but overall, a very fun 27-day trip. The work we had done on our RV (heavy duty shocks and a stabilizer bar) made a noticeable difference!

Sunday we headed up to Anacortes to spend the night on the boat so we could drop it at Skyline Marine Center early Monday. It was a beautiful morning and ToG is now in a tent on the hard getting new bottom paint and a facelift (buff and wax).

Bottom doesn’t look bad, since we had it cleaned just last June.

The boat is scheduled to splash mid-day Friday and we’ll be there to get her back to our dock.

It’s a busy week as we deal with the boat and prepare for our daughter and family to move in with us as they re-re-locate. A story for another day…

Sunday morning we take off for a month in Kona.
