At Nehalem Bay State Park in 2025

I thought I would keep my blog strictly about boating but I’ve reconsidered. I will be making changes to reflect our surf and turf lifestyle and will be including our RV (The Motterhome) journeys along with those on the water. I enjoy documenting our adventures so why not put it all in one place?

We met the fridge technician (McClean from Frostline out of Bellingham) on our dock on the 27th. He pretty quickly refilled the coolant and that should do the trick. He explained that when we turn the fridge off over the winter, there is no more pressure in the lines and it all runs out a slow leak. (Or something like that.) Suffice to say, it should be fine all summer and we’ll try leaving it on low during the off-season. It’s worth a try before we replace the whole thing.

So we arrived home that same day, cutting our trip a little short after nine nights aboard. We’re home for a week to spend time with friends and family, including celebrating our son Caleb’s 37th.

The Motterhome departs Tuesday for a couple of weeks, meeting up with our son and family at Seaquest State Park in Castle Rock before heading east to connect with friends Shannon and Steve in their camper, and her parents in their RV.  Should be a fun trip, with some wine tasting in Walla Walla.
