Seaquest State Park is definitely a keeper. We had so much fun with the kids… good meals, and a couple of trips to the Visitor’s Center. The volcano exhibits are impressive and the wetland doesn’t disappoint. There are many hiking trails. We didn’t get to all of them but those we did were very nice. Well maintained and clearly marked.

We parted company with them on Monday – they went to Ike Kinswa State Park and The Motterhome to Maryhill.

Shannon, Steve, Janet, and Bill all arrived at Maryhill shortly after us and we had a nice couple of days sharing meals, seeing the sights, and even got in a little wine tasting at Cascade Cliffs.

We are now in Walla Walla at Blue Valley RV Park, less than a mile from the Marcus Whitman hotel. We battled some wind on the way but it should begin to calm down. (We only ran over one tumbleweed!) It was a beautiful drive despite the breezy conditions, mostly along the Columbia. It’s a nice time to visit this part of the state – some hills are beginning to brown but most are still green.

Not sure what our immediate plans are but we’ll have dinner in town somewhere…and yep, probably some wine!
