I forgot to upload this video of moon jellies in Tod Inlet:
We’ve visited Telegraph Harbour four times, the first being in 2022 when we attended our first American Tug gathering. We missed it last year. There have been some changes, as a few years ago it was purchased by the White family. It looks like there is an additional small boat dock, a marine “touch tank” (like a floating tide pool), a new deck, and a walking path along the road. It also looks like they may be upgrading the dock power. The private residence portion of the office/store has been changed into a communal spot with tables and a fireplace. (Haven’t had a chance to confirm all of this with anyone.) I think the previous owners kept it a bit more ship shape but it is still a great spot. There aren’t many boats here and it’s very quiet, although yesterday was a lot busier.
Oh, and 240 Gordy is not here this year. We don’t miss him (or his tip jar), as his Elvis-themed dockside entertainment was, well…not that entertaining.
There also looks to be a new deck and dinghy dock down by the Howling Wolf Farm store and market area.

It rained a bit yesterday and the wind blew but today is lovely. We walked again through the wetland on the nearby community trail.
When we arrived yesterday, we watched as a couple of guys loaded lumber onto a small work boat at the nearby boat ramp. I always marvel at the ways people make life happen in remote areas. Getting building materials to out-of-the-way places must be a challenge!

We dinghied across the harbour today to lunch at the Thetis Island Marina and Resort. Shared an excellent burger!
Our plan is to continue north tomorrow to Nanaimo. We need to time our departure to get through Dodd Narrows at slack.
