Our oysters in the half shell, the spinach dip, and the mussels from 1948 Bistro at Mañana Marina were all excellent. Again, very nice facility and we hope to visit again.
We needed a stop over on the way to Victoria so thought we’d make use of reciprocal moorage again at the Capital City Yacht Club. As we were motoring, I looked at the list again and realized we also have reciprocity next door at the Sidney North Saanich club. We decided to check it out and are glad we did. The reciprocal dock location is much better – better view and just a bit nicer surrounding. A little bit longer walk into town.

We left early this morning for Victoria Harbour and the Causeway Marina. It was one of the smoothest trips we’ve had through that particular body of water.
We’re now at the Causeway. It’s a beautiful day here and we’ve already done some shopping at MEC (Mountain Equipment Company). We both bought new kayaking PFDs. (On sale and Canadian currency!)
I don’t know if I mentioned that we are without our ebikes this trip. When we last used them on a camping trip, we noticed the batteries were not holding a charge. Nick did a little research and learned that they typically give up the ghost after around three to five years, so that make sense. We ordered new ones which will give us a bit more time and mileage. So, unfortunately that is one thing we won’t be able to do in Victoria this time.
