The park didn’t get very full Sunday night and the crowds on Monday were greatly diminished. Lots of campers Tuesday night but all-in-all fairly quiet. Some of the sites for smaller rigs are very tightly packed.

We rented an SUP for a little time on the water.

Another short drive today from Lake Cushman to Dosewallips State Park in Brinnon. I haven’t spent much time on Hood Canal and I’m finding I have a new appreciation for the area. Nick’s been here a lot, both for work and for fishing and crabbing back in the day.

It’s hot, in the upper eighties, so after a walk to the river and out to the marshy fjord shoreline, we’re hanging out at our campsite…listening to the Mariners.

Tomorrow we’ll continue north to Sequim to spend some time with good friends Steve & Tracey.

Side note: Nick opened the hood this morning and found evidence of critters nesting in our engine compartment. Yuk. We stopped at Ace Hardware for some product to stop that nonsense!
