The weather cooperated last weekend and we had a great time at Pt. Hudson with our son and family.

Grandpa grilled hotdogs, a big hit with Mac and Ren, and a chance for their parents to get away into town for a relaxing dinner.

Not to mention pancakes the next morning:

We spent a few days at home and are now headed to the boat for a 25-day cruise. We’ve made yet another change to our plans. After spending this 4th of July weekend in Friday Harbor, we were going to venture north to Desolation Sound. However, we really need to get our new fridge installed so we are heading south instead. I am looking forward to visiting some of our favorite South Sound locales.

Just a quick note about the Race to Alaska. Remember the photo I posted of a small sailing craft headed into Victoria Harbour as we were headed out? That was Northbound Nutters…and they won!
