I think I have. Nick keeps making comments about how relaxing he finds this portion of the Salish Sea. Slower. Quieter.

This is the view of Nisqually Reach on our short cruise from Jarrell Cove to Filucy Bay this morning – nary a ripple in sight:

We did what we thought we’d do – a dinghy trip to Fair Harbor Marina and to the Vaughn Bay spit for clams, a short hike, kayaking – and a whole lot of nothing.

Very very low tides and not many boats.

A couple of boaters told us they saw Orcas in the vicinity but so far we haven’t seen any.

We are now on the dock at the Longbranch Improvement Club Marina on the Key Peninsula. We’ve been before, years ago aboard Europa. It’s not fancy, and there’s not much around, but the covered gathering space is great and would be a good place for a group.

We cleaned the boat and made a garbage/recycling run.

It’s been so nice, a bit warm at times. Great boating weather but it’s supposed to change. We may get thunder and lightening tonight. Kinda glad we’re tied up to a dock now.🙂
