Another 🦀 limit in Kingston! And another pizza, this time a NY style. Not bad but not as thin and crispy as I like.

We moved on to spend a couple of nights in Everett. They’ve rearranged guest moorage since we were last at “the largest marina on the West Coast” so stayed on Guest Dock #1, near the Hat Island ferry. Not too bad but the dock was a little messy and the tar-covered pilings smelled a bit in the heat.

Speaking of smells. The area is largely mud flats and in hot weather it gets quite odoriferous!

We took the dinghy out to Jetty Island, a first visit for us. It’s a popular place for kite surfers and beach-goers.

We also rode our bikes into town – the long way, as the elevator that connects the waterfront to town was damaged by fireworks.

Everett has a lot to offer if you need good walking, marine supplies, and restaurants. Groceries are in town, however.

We cruised 35+ miles yesterday, a longer day than usual, to Deception Pass State Marine Park, Cornet Bay. This is a first time destination for ToG.

The park pier and docks are very nice, just a few years old. It’s high crabbing season and there are lots of small boats in and out, plus people crabbing from the docks.

We took a walk out to Hoypus Point yesterday. There are a lot of trails in this area and we hope to do more walking today…after more crabbing! We got three keepers yesterday.
