We enjoyed our stay at Deception Pass State Marine Park, Cornet Bay. Very wild and beautiful. The crab fishing was intense (and fun!) and it’s probably a good idea we left when we did, very early Saturday morning. There are several boat ramp lanes there so it gets super busy. Oh, and we got a few more Dungeness so were able to bring some home to share with the kids.

We walked to Squatchy’s, a small store near the park. They had a few versions of “Squatchy,” this being one – a bit creepy if you ask me:

Not very worried about us:

We arrived home early, so 24 days aboard. A really great trip, with mostly excellent weather.

We’re helping with childcare this week, so we took Mac out to the McQuarrie cabin for an overnight in The Motterhome. We dug clams, played games, walked on the beach, watched wildlife, collected shells, and generally had a blast. This was Mac’s first time sleeping in the bunk and he did great!

Some shots of a Happy Camper!

More blackberries…a lot more:

Our roomies are moving back to Seattle this weekend. I will miss them.

We have a yacht club cruise next week, to Anacortes and La Conner. We are the Cruise Captains for the La Conner leg, something new to us. More about this next time.
