We have once again changed plans and won’t be moving further north. The weather is just not lining up with our “pleasure” boating standard.

We stayed pretty much out of the wind while in Gibsons, although the rain definitely came down. To continue staying out of the wind in the Strait of Georgia, on Wednesday we motored back around the north side of Bowen Island and landed in Snug Cove for a night.

On the way, a small group Orcas swam by and around our boat. This one was so close I could have touched it with the boat hook:

We saw several humpback whales in the Strait, including this nice fluke shot by Nick:

We also saw the most fishing boats ever. This photo does not do justice to what looked like a solid wall extending out of the Fraser River delta:

It was like running a gauntlet. Hundreds of boats.

It was a long haul…seven hours…and the sky was splendid.

We spent last night on a mooring buoy in Fossil Bay, Sucia Island. By far the least rocky/rollie night we’ve ever had here!

On our way now to throw the crab pots out in Shoal Bay, Lopez Island.
